I, as a Digital Native, would have to agree almost 100 percent to the article "Digital Natives." I have seen my parent suffer trying to use anything on the computer, while for my siblings and I it all comes really naturally. My dad especially. As an architect, he still works in the stone-age. He draws everything by hand, and other people, who are always younger than him, have to transfer his drawings to the computer.
I have also noticed how bored I get in some classrooms. If a class moves at a snails pace, I tune out really fast. However, some classes have a little too much stimulation for me, and than it is hard to pay attention, too.
I hope that as a teacher I can reach the students that I will be teaching. This is why it is super important for future teachers to always stay up to date on technology. Hopefully, this gap between natives and immigrant to the digital age will close and not just continue with the next generation.
As for me, I'm pretty pumped about my super sweet, ultra high tech new age brain... that requires a computer to spell.
